Balthassar Baker
My Becker line starts with
Balthassar Baker in Holland. In 1632, he was given the family name and Coat of Arms by the
Prussian Ruler whose court he represented at Royal Court, Amsterdam Holland.
He had four children:
Ludwig, George, Johannes, and Margreda.
Ludwig Becker, son of Balthassar, was the
father of George Peter Becker II. George Peter Becker II was born in Strassburg Province
of Elsasse Germany. Four of his sons came to America in 1727. Henry, Peter, Jacob, and
George. George died shortly after arrival. They became naturalized citizens in 1738.
Afterwards spelling their name Baker instead of Becker.
