Andreas Burkhardt

Andreas Burkhardt was born April 4, 1676 in Herbrectingen, Germany. He was the son of Andreas and Maria Bracholdt Burkhardt. He was a master mason in Herbrectingen and later in Dettingen, he was a schoolmaster. He married Margaretha Schneider on January 21, 1702. Margaretha was the daughter of Jorg and Maria Lutz Schneider. Jorg was and assistant judge, an iron master and a weaver. Margaretha was born April 21, 1678 in Flenhiem, Germany.

Andrew and Margaretha were the parents of nine children. Johann George, Anna Maria (died in infancy), Andreas, Johannes, Catherina, Johann Jacob, Margaretha (died in infancy), Samuel, and a stillborn son.

Margaretha died on March 12, 1721. Andreas married Anna Preis on October 14, 1721. Anna was the daughter of Hans and Dorthea Rabausch Pries. Andreas and Margaretha were the parents of three children. Johann Martin, Margaretha, and Johann Michael.

Andreas died in Dettingen (date unknown), and Anna died on March 22, 1739.
